Wade Stadium Improvements - Phase 1

Project Overview:
Athletic Venue Reinvestment Initiative Funds will support improvements to Wade Stadium, including brown turf replacement and repairing the building envelope. Building improvements will focus on issues related to structural integrity, water filtration, and life safety concerns in order to extend the lifespan and enjoyment of Wade Stadium. Areas of improvement include roof system replacement/repair, exterior door replacements, repairs to masonry openings, and brick tuckpointing and replacement.
Project Update:
The brown areas of turf on the field at Wade Stadium have been replaced!
Construction drawing and specifications for building envelop improvements were completed by TKDA. The work was bid out in December 2024/January 2025 and three bids were received. The project is expected to be awarded to one of the three bidders in January 2025, and project work is expected to take place starting in the spring of 2025.
