Memorials and Parks Gifting

For those with existing memorials in place throughout the park system, please ensure we have your current contact information on file by calling us at 218-730-4300 or emailing parks@duluthmn.gov.

Angel of Hope

The Angel of Hope Memorial is a memorial located in Leif Erikson Park that offers a place of solace for grieving parents who have lost a child of any age. A limited number of memorial bricks are available for purchase. Click here for more information on Angel of Hope.

Parks Gifting Fund

As an alternative to memorial donations, contributions can be made to the Parks Gifting Fund to be used for projects across the City’s park system. Donations are not designated to a specific park or item. For more information, reach out to parks@duluthmn.gov or 218-730-4300.

Memorial Bench - Waitlist

At this time, there are no memorial benches available for purchase. You may, however, add your name to a waitlist to be contacted if a bench becomes available in the future. Names will remain on the waitlist for 5 years, after which time the name will be removed. Click here for more information and to submit your name to the waitlist.

Memorial Program Policy

Per State Statute and our City Ordinance policy, it is illegal to bury remains within public and park property.
