Park Description
Located immediately east of Enger Park, Twin Ponds were created in the 1890s by damming Buckingham Creek. They were originally called “Gem Lakes” and were made in the 1890s as a picnic spot for those enjoying horse-and-carriage rides along Duluth’s Rogers Boulevard, known today as Skyline Parkway. Today the ponds provide spots for fishing and swimming as well as access to the Superior Hiking Trail.
