Park Description
Located on Minnesota Point, Franklin Square was established in 1856 but served as the site of a cemetery and a U. S. Life Saving Station before it was used for recreation. Today the original square contains the Franklin Tot Lot playground and the park has been expanded to the Lake Superior shore where it is known as the Franklin Bathing Beach.
