National Night Out

Building relationships and ensuring the safety of our community are at the center of the mission of the Duluth Police Department.

The annual National Night Out event is on Tuesday, August 4th. Our goal is to be able to attend every neighborhood community event to interact with members of the public! 

If you would like to request to close the street for your event, the street closure request form at the link below must be completely filled out:

East Events:

Summit School 1600 N 8th Ave E 5:30 - 7 pm We are a local early childhood education center here in Duluth. We will have our playgrounds open to those who join.   
Britt & Leon Rohrbaugh 121 Chester Parkway 5 - 9 pm Lemonade and fried chicken will be provided.  Please bring something to share, if you are able!  
French River Lutheran Church 5310 Ryan Rd 5 - 7 pm Food provided. Visits from the Police and Fire Departments. Outdoor play space. Music provided by THUG - Two Harbors Ukulele Group.  218-525-5659
Lisa Sturm 4532 Tioga St 5 - 9 pm Bring a lawn chair, your favorite meat to grill and a dish to share (if you dish requires a spoon, please bring one). The road will blocked of around 4:45 PM - please use caution if driving.  Barricades will be taken down at 9:00 PM. If needed, you may carefully drive past the barricades before then.  We'll provide condiments, plasticware and paper plates - you just bring your own chair, beverage, the food and the fun!  Rumor has it the Minnesota Monster's DJ, Jesse Jaze, will be spinning a few tracks! Joan & Paul Scinocca 1815 Carver Ave (Side Yard) 5:30 - 8:30 pm Bring a dish to share, something to sit on and your beverage. A grill, all tableware and ice cream will be provided.   
Zeitgeist Center for Arts & Community 500 E 10th St (JS Print parking lot) 5 - 7:30 pm The Hillside Night Out at the Farm will include food from Whole Foods Co-op, activities for all ages and a chance to connect with your neighbors. Stop by and say hi!  

 

West Events:

St. John's Free Luthern Church 3601 W Arrowhead Rd 5 - 8 pm Please join us for National Night Out! We will have a car show, Coast Guard Aux, bounce house, games, face painting and a puppet show. Hot dogs, chips, treats and smores will be served.  Plan on having fun! Please help us help the community by bringing a non-perishable food item for a local food panty. Activity are subject to weather conditions. Campus is alcohol and tobacco free. Bless You.
