Life Insurance

The City pays the cost of a standard group term life insurance benefit for its benefit-eligible employees. The amount and effective date of this life insurance benefit is determined by the collective bargaining agreement that covers each job.

Two additional supplemental life insurance plans are available for benefit-eligible employees to purchase:

  • Supplemental Employee, Spouse & Dependent Term Life insurance through Minnesota Life.
  • Supplemental Decreasing Term Term Life insurance through the PERA (NCPERS) Life plan.
