ISSUED TO: Any person or organization seeking to hold an event on a public street, sidewalk, walkway, alley, right-of-way, or any other publicly owned property, which interferes with the normal vehicular or pedestrian traffic and may require the use of city services. This includes, but is not limited to, community festivals, commercial film productions, block parties, parades, races, and public assemblies.

PROCEDURE: Completed applications, including proof of insurance coverage and submission of application fees, must be filed with the City Clerk’s Office. Applications that will require the closure of public streets must include a traffic control plan, subject to review and approval by City staff. Applications are approved by the city’s Special Events Committee and should be submitted well in advance of any proposed event date(s). Note that late applications may not be able to be approved.
