The City of Duluth is planning to reconstruct 4th Street between Mesaba Avenue and 6th Avenue East. The project will include a full reconstruction of the street, sidewalks, and underground utilities.
Project staff will be available throughout the open house to answer questions and discuss the project. An exhibit showing the existing roadway layout will be available for public comment, and attendees will be able to complete a survey during the event.
For those unable to attend in person, the survey and online comment map are available below.
What Happens Next:
The project team will review public input received through the open house, survey, and online comment map and use it to help develop a preliminary design concept. The design concept will be shared with the community at a future open house as the project moves forward.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2028 and be completed in 2029.
This project will be funded through a combination of federal funds, Minnesota State Aid funds, and City of Duluth Engineering Utility funds.
