Park Description

Named for Minnesota politician Henry Harrison, who once owned the property it sits on, Harrison Park has served Duluth’s West End since 1909 and includes an active community center, playground, softball field, basketball courts, and community garden.

Improvements at Harrison Park were completed in 2018 with funding through the St. Louis River Corridor Initiative and community matching funds. The Lincoln Park Children Families Collaborative and the Duluth Community Garden Program supported the project with the construction of a community garden in 2016. Other park changes included removal of the abandoned tennis court, a new walkway connection through the park, a concrete patio and ADA ramp entrance off the back of the building, site lighting, and fence removal.
