Fire Department

Car Seat Program

The Duluth Fire Department is now taking appointments for its 2022 Car Seat Safety Clinics. The first clinic will take place on April 21 at Station 7 (1419 Maple Grove Road) from 4 – 6 p.m. To register for the clinic please click on the link below.

Child Safety Seat Clinics are for parents and caregivers to have their child safety seat inspected by a certified child passenger technician. The child passenger safety technician will inspect and assist parents and caregivers in installing their child safety seat. This is a free service. You must sign up for a designated time slot. Masks are required at all clinics.

The Duluth Fire Department, in conjunction with St. Luke’s Health Care System offers approximately 11 free Child Safety Seat Clinics each year. Unfortunately, at this time we do not support drop in car seat installations. For assistance installing a car seat, please attend one of our free clinics. Click the Signup Button below to be redirected to our City Calendar of Events. Move forward to the month of the clinic you’d like to register for and click on the Child Car Seat Safety Clinic Box on the day of the clinic to access the registration form.
