City Council

Profession: Jordon currently works as an Associate Director of the American Indian Community Housing Organization and is the founder of True Being Consulting, LLC. Upon returning to Duluth, he has been working in the nonprofit sector to provide supportive services and housing for community members.

Length of Duluth Residency: Johnson was born and raised in Duluth where he graduated from Marshall School in 1990. He returned to his hometown in 2019, in which he spent much of his time living in New Mexico for 17 years where he obtained a doctorate in American Studies from the University of New Mexico.

Other Affiliations: Johnson participated in the Duluth Chamber of Commerce Leadership Duluth 2020-2021; National Collaborative for Health Equity Culture of Health Leadership Institute for Racial Healing Cohort 2023-2024; and, currently, a Member of the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Board of Directors.

Other Information: Jordon is an avid runner and spends time training for 70.3 Ironman's. You may see him and his dog out early mornings running along Lakewalk or Park Point. Jordon also loves to read and embraces a life of constant learning.
