The Employer Champions Initiative is a peer learning network of leaders working to advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within their organizations. Facilitated by the Duluth Workforce Development Board’s Equity Committee, Employer Champions come together on a bi-monthly basis for learning sessions and resource sharing. Employer Services

CareerForce Duluth provides customized assistance to employers to help with their workforce needs.  Our knowledgeable and experienced staff can help employers develop a strategic approach for recruiting, hiring, and training needs.  We also offer opportunities for business representatives to participate in local and regional workforce initiatives.

Talent Development Program

The Talent Development Program (TDP) offers direct financial assistance to train incumbent workers and improve economic competitiveness of regional businesses. TDP provides matching grants to support direct training costs for current employees. More information is available here.

Youth and Older Worker Employment

Duluth Workforce Development works with employer partners to provide meaningful work experiences to youth and young adults, and for adults age 55+. Duluth Workforce Development has funding available to subsidize employment for eligible individuals to work in public and private organizations throughout Duluth.  If you are interested in learning more about being an employer and mentor to our emerging and older worker workforce, please call 218-302-8400.
