Dislocated Workers

Our Dislocated Worker program offers free services to help individuals find suitable employment and help take the stress and uncertainty out of the process. You may be eligible for this program if you are out of work through no fault of your own, eligible for unemployment insurance, and unlikely to return to your previous occupation or industry.

Dislocated Worker services are tailored to address the needs of individuals and may include:

  • Interest and skills assessments
  • Career exploration and guidance
  • Job search and placement assistance
  • Scholarships for short-term training
  • Support services needed to achieve employment and training goals

For information on Dislocated Worker services available at CareerForce, visit us at 402 West 1st Street in Duluth or call 218-302-8400.

CLIMB (Converting Layoffs into Minnesota Businesses) is a component of the state-funded Dislocated Worker (DW) program designed to assist aspiring entrepreneurs with training and consulting for a successful business launch or growth.  Find more information about the CLIMB program here.
