City of Duluth to temporarily close section of College Street and Eight Street on September 9

 

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will close sections of College Street and Eighth Street on September 9, 2026 to allow for utility work. The closure will begin at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, September 9 on College Street; around midday, the closure will roll over to Eighth Street between Kent Road and Garden Street for the rest of the day. Detours will be signed and posted.

Detour routes (College Street):

  • Westbound traffic: College Street > Junction Avenue > Saint Marie Street > Woodland Ave > College Street
  • Eastbound traffic: Woodland Avenue > Saint Marie Street > Junction Avenue > College Street

Detour routes (Eighth Street):

  • Westbound traffic: Woodland Avenue > College Street > 19th Avenue E > Eighth Street
  • Eastbound traffic: 8th Street > 19th Avenue E > College Street > Woodland Avenue
