Temporary one-lane closure planned for 800 block of E Superior Street

 

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will temporarily the westbound lane of Superior Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues E beginning Monday, August 24, 2026 to support utility repairs in the area adjacent to the Kitchi Gammi Club. The closure is anticipated to last approximately two weeks.

 

A detour will be posted for westbound drivers beginning at Tenth Avenue E and returning to Superior Street at Eighth Avenue E. Eastbound traffic will not be detoured but must observe a temporary stop sign at Eighth and Ninth Avenues E.

 

Drivers utilizing Superior Street should expect traffic delays during this closure and should consider alternate routes of travel when possible. The City of Duluth appreciates drivers’ patience during the closure.
