City of Duluth to temporarily close section of Pecan Avenue on Wednesday, August 19, 2026

 

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will temporarily close Pecan Avenue between Baylis Street and Upham Road to through traffic beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2026 to allow for replacement of storm sewer infrastructure. This work is expected to last approximately two weeks. During this closure, residents of adjacent apartments will have full access to their properties via both driveways.

 

A detour will be posted for through traffic. The detour route is as follows:

Westbound traffic: Pecan Avenue > Rice Lake Road (CSAH 9) > Central Entrance (MN 194) > Pecan Avenue

Eastbound traffic: Pecan Avenue > Central Entrance (MN 194) > Rice Lake Road (CSAH 9) > Pecan Avenue
