City of Duluth to close 400 block of W First Street on Tuesday, August 4

 

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will temporarily close the 400 block of W First Street tomorrow/Tuesday, August 4, 2026, to allow for a crane to be positioned in front of a building on the block.

The closure will only last the day, and W First Street will be open to traffic once the crane departs. A signed detour will be posted, and is described as follows:

 

•          Westbound traffic: First Street > Fourth Avenue W >  Superior Street > Fifth Avenue W > First Street

•          Eastbound traffic: First Street > Fifth Ave W > Superior Street > Fourth Avenue W > First Street.
