Temporary closure in place for section of Central Avenue

 

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth has temporarily closed Central Avenue from Cody Street to Columbia Street to allow contractors to safely replace lead water service lines.   

The closure is expected to last through August 14, 2026. A detour is posted using Grand Avenue, 59th Avenue W, and Eighth Street. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes during this work period. Local residents will receive communication direct from the contractor to coordinate access to their properties.
