Public comment period opens for the draft Park Point Recreation Area plan

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The public is invited to review and comment on the draft Park Point Recreation Area plan. The public comment period will close on Friday, March 27, 2026.

The draft Park Point Recreation Area plan and a comment form is available at: https://duluthmn.gov/parks/parks-trails/current-projects/park-point-recreation-area/.  A printed copy of the plan is available for review at the Duluth Parks and Recreation office on the ground floor of City Hall during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

After the public comment period closes, Duluth Parks and Recreation will review the comments received, incorporate changes where appropriate, and prepare the final Park Point Recreation Area plan for consideration at a future Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, before bringing it to Duluth City Council for final approval.

The plan aims to identify necessary and preferred park improvements to preserve the park’s natural, cultural, and recreational resources to best serve the community. Once adopted, the City of Duluth will use this plan to seek funding for implementation of identified improvements.
