City of Duluth to close two lanes of the 100 block of East Second Street to traffic beginning Tuesday, February 3, 2026

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will close two of three lanes of E Second Street between First and Second Avenues E beginning February 3, 2026 to allow contractors space to repair in-ground utilities. While the work is between First and Second Avenues, tapers for closures will begin at Lake Avenue and on-street parking will not be available between Lake Avenue and Second Avenue E during this work, which is expected to take a week to complete.

 

Significant traffic delays are expected due to this closure. Drivers should consider alternative routes when possible.
