2022 Busker Permits now available through Parks and Recreation

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth recognizes the life, color, and interest street performers bring to the community. To meet the desires of Duluth citizens, visitors, and area businesses, the City’s Parks and Recreation Division will be permitting a variety of entertainers to perform in designated park spaces from May 1 – October 15, 2022.

Entertainers that secure a Busker Permit are allowed to perform in the following park spaces:

  • Lakewalk from the Lakewalk Plaza to the Veterans Memorial.
  • Gichi-ode’ Aking Park
  • Pocket Park is located at 19th Ave. West and Superior Street
  • Minnesota Power Plaza

Also new in 2022, the Parks and Recreation staff will invite permitted buskers to attend various events hosted in park spaces as an exclusive opportunity to those with this kind of a permit. These events will be located at the Beach House Jam, Busker Brunch, and Busker Stroll. Permitted Buskers will be contacted directly for participation in these events.

A total of 40 Busker Permits are available for the 2022 season. For more information and to apply for a permit, visit  https://duluthmn.gov/parks/reservations-permits/.
