Lakewalk – Brighton Beach Resiliency Project Public Meeting October 7
[Duluth, MN] The public is invited to a virtual public meeting regarding the Lakewalk and Brighton Beach Resiliency Project. The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 6:00 pm.
The meeting will be hosted by the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation and Property and Facilities Management Divisions, and will include a presentation from LHB and AMI Consulting Engineers who are consultants on the project. The meeting agenda will include:
• Introductions
• Project purpose and guiding principles
• Presentation of draft concept plans (LHB & AMI)
- Questions & Answers in addition to public comments
This project includes the Lakewalk from Endion Station to 26th Avenue East and Brighton Beach. These areas have experienced considerable damage from past storm events and will continue to erode unless the City acts to ensure its long-term resiliency by mitigating the impacts of future events. This project will include proposed shoreline stabilization and other hazard mitigation measures.
