Bayfront Warming House to close due to cold weather until February 8

[Duluth, MN] Due to the forecasted weather, the Bayfront Warming House will be closed from Saturday, February 6 through Monday, February 8. Parks and Recreation staff will reevaluate the opening of the warming house early next week to determine if this closure will continue. As a general practice, Parks and Recreation programs are canceled when wind chill values fall below -20 degrees; however, in alignment with the Duluth Fire Department and National Weather Service of Duluth precautions, City staff are encouraging residents to stay inside this weekend and not risk the possibility of exposure to frostbite in less than ten minutes.
