City to begin installing excess flow valves in the Woodland neighborhood

[Duluth, MN] Beginning today, September 8, the City of Duluth will install excess flow valves on natural gas services to residential properties in the Woodland neighborhood. Work will begin today on Austin Street and work their way south to Redwing, Faribault, Owatonna, Winona, Mankato, and Anoka Streets. Each street is expected to take one to two days to complete. While work is being done, the gas will be shut off for a short period to complete the job. Gas appliances will be re-lit by Comfort System’s service department at no charge.  Restoration will be performed by the contractor doing the installations. This project is expected to be completed by October 15.
