Merritt Park Improvements to begin on Tuesday, July 28

[Duluth, MN] Construction on park improvements at Merritt Park will begin on Tuesday, July 28. Enhancements include the installation of drain tile to improve playscape drainage for the playground and to upgrade the play surface with engineered wood that will replace sand that is there currently. Other improvements include the installation of a portable toilet enclosure and a new fenced sport striped for basketball and pickleball. Construction is expected to take ten weeks to complete the project.

Merritt Park improvements are based on recommendations made by City Council within the approved St. Louis River Corridor Neighborhood Parks Mini-Master Plans, passed in June 2016.
