K9 Fitz Alerts to Presence of Illicit Drugs

At approximately 12:50 a.m., Thursday, September 17, Duluth Police observed suspicious drug activity coming from a vehicle parked in the area of 6th Avenue East and 4th Street. A short time later, officers conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officers gained additional information that led to reasonable suspicion for a K9 sniff. K9 Fitz was deployed and alerted to the presence of illicit drugs. During the search of the vehicle, officers seized 80 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of cocaine, and fentanyl.

39-year-old Daniel Diver and 58-year-old Alice Robinson were lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of 1st Degree Sales and 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.
