City of Duluth to host Lakewalk and Coastal Improvements project virtual presentation on Thursday, September 3, 2026

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will host an informational virtual meeting on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM to allow the public to learn more about the Lakewalk and Coastal Improvements project. The meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams; here is the link to join: bit.ly/4qzOBbf.

 

At the meeting, Parks staff will share an overview about how the Lakewalk and Coastal Improvements project came to be, review upcoming landscape changes, and provide an opportunity for questions. Construction on the project is underway and includes retreating the trail from the shoreline where possible, bank stabilization, improving and consolidating water access locations, rerouting to improve safety and accessibility, and provision of new wayfinding and interpretive elements.
