Thursday Night Stabbing Incident
At approximately 10:15 p.m., Thursday, August 13, Duluth Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1000 block of East 3rd Street. Initial information shows two males that were known to each other got into an altercation and one male stabbed a 39-year-old male with a knife. The male sustained a significant stab wound to his chest. He was treated at a local hospital, and his injuries are non-life threatening. The suspected male fled the scene prior to officers arrival. Again, these individuals are known to each other and there is no danger to the public. This remains an active and ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
