[DULUTH, MN] The Duluth Public Library is pleased to announce the return of Kaleidoscope, its beloved summer performance series for families, children and their caregivers. Approaching its 50th year, Kaleidoscope continues a tradition of bringing free performances to the community that encourage curiosity, joy, and wonder.

This year’s series is bigger than ever thanks to the generous sponsorship of Members Cooperative Credit Union. Their support has allowed the library to expand Kaleidoscope offerings. "We are thrilled to continue this cherished Duluth tradition and grateful to Members Cooperative Credit Union for helping us grow the program in exciting new ways," said Youth Services Supervisor Brianna Belanger. "Their partnership allows us to reach more families and create even more opportunities for children to learn, play, and connect through the library.

The 2026 Kaleidoscope season begins with a special kickoff party at the series' first day of performances on Tuesday, July 7, and will feature fun activities, giveaways, and the distribution of limited edition Kaleidoscope tshirts for kids in attendance, while supplies last. Families and groups are encouraged to join the celebration and kick off a summer of reading, discovery, and fun.

All Kaleidoscope performances are free and open to the public. Performances are designed for families, children and their caregivers, and will be held on the Library Plaza on the Michigan Street Level. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be present at all 1:30 p.m. performances.

The Dollipops and Kaleidoscope Kickoff Celebration
Get ready to sing, dance, and laugh with the high-energy and highly interactive kids' show from The Dollipop sisters, Dolli and Pop. Featuring everything from classic beach tunes to current Hollywood and pop hits, this lively performance invites children and their grownups to sing along, dance, and even enjoy their own four-and-a-half minutes of fame.

Tuesday, July 14 | 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Terrell X
Making his first appearance on the Library Plaza, Terrell X invites audiences to discover the joy of using their bodies as musical instruments through the art of human beatboxing. This energetic, highly interactive performance reminds us that the freedom and fun of making music is always within reach.

Funtastic Books with Comedian DonB!
Combining comedy, unicycles, juggling, and the art of illusion, Don Bursell delivers a memorable show that inspires children to explore the incredible variety of books available at their local library. This entertaining performance highlights the power of reading while keeping audiences laughing and engaged.

Tuesday, July 28 | 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Will Sings
Will Sings Songs performs original music for young people of all ages. Driven by audience participation, his upbeat songs encourage kids to move, laugh, sing, and learn. A naturalist by trade, Will weaves environmental themes and curiosity-driven learning into a joyful, high-energy performance focused on positivity and discovery.
