Shooting

On 06/15/26, at approximately 11:55pm, officers with the Duluth Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 4700 block of Otsego St.. Upon arrival it was determined that there had been a party that had grown out of control and several people had been told to leave.  One of those told to leave was 20-year-old Isaac Hugh Brenny. Upon Brenny leaving the residence he was witnessed shooting firearm multiple times into the front of the residence. A 20-year-old female inside the house was struck in the arm. She was transported to the hospital with non-life threating injuries.  Suspect information was relayed to neighboring agencies. Carlton County Sheriffs Office was able to locate the suspect vehicle and take Brenny into custody. A firearm was also located. Brenny has been lodged in the St Louis County Jail for pending charges of 2nd Degree Assault, reckless discharge of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. This is an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released.
