City of Duluth announces First Street Friday event

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth’s Planning and Economic Development department announces First Street Friday, an exciting new activation event in the downtown business district slated for Friday, June 26, 2026.

 

First Street Friday will activate the First Street corridor and close the street between First and Second Avenues E from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on June 26, bringing the business, nonprofit, and government community together for a lively summer block party featuring:

  • Food trucks
  • Buskers
  • Local business offerings, including dance performances, fitness activities, planting activities, art interactives, history tours, and more
  • Community fun for all ages and interests.

 

City of Duluth departments and divisions will have informational and interactive demonstrations, such as a Parks and Recreation yard games area, and the Duluth Public Library’s Little Library Go on site. Participating businesses will have an opportunity to demonstrate their First Street Growth grant outcomes and invite eventgoers to see what their business offers.

 

A full schedule of activities and business presence, as well as detour information, will be released closer to the event.
