Duluth Economic Development Authority announces Spirit Valley Growth grants
[DULUTH, MN] The Duluth Economic Development Authority (DEDA) is accepting applications for their Spirit Valley Growth grants, a new micro-grant funding program providing up to $500 to eligible applicants with an address in the defined Spirit Valley business district, including building owners and businesses with a valid lease in the district. These grants can be used for a variety of improvements and activities that enhance the street’s appearance and encourage public engagement during Spirit Valley Days and beyond. Examples of eligible uses include exterior cleaning and painting, live performances, classes, seating, signage, planters, and lighting.
The goal of this program is to create a more vibrant, welcoming, and active business district environment by supporting small-scale projects that draw people in and improve the overall experience of Spirit Valley, which will be showcased at Spirit Valley Days, taking place August 6 through August 9, 2026. Products and services funded by the grant must be used during Spirit Valley Days. Grant funding is provided by DEDA and the Boreal Waters Community Foundation.
Applications are due on Friday, July 10, 2026. Eligibility, terms, and application information are available on the DEDA website.
