City of Duluth Street Maintenance spring street sweeping underway

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth’s Street Maintenance Division has begun its annual spring street sweeping. Street sweepers will be out cleaning the roadways of dirt and debris between 3:00 am and 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday for the next few weeks. Early morning and late evening hours, sweeping crews will focus on the Priority 1 road network, and will work on Priority 2 roadways during the late morning and afternoons.

Street sweeping is a crucial maintenance service that enhances community aesthetics and protects City infrastructure by reducing localized flooding and by preventing pollutants and contaminants from entering the stormwater utility, which in turn protects water quality.

Residents may notice some sweeping and beeping sounds during sweeping operations. The City of Duluth regrets any inconvenience these sounds might bring during this limited time frame.
