City of Duluth announces public meeting for the 24th Avenue W reconstruction project

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will host a public information meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 to share details about the upcoming reconstruction of 24th Avenue West between Third Street and Seventh Street. Design and engineering work for the project is scheduled for 2026, with construction planned for 2027.

The project is anticipated to include:

  • Removal and replacement of the existing concrete roadway, curb and gutter, and sidewalk
  • Replacement of the existing watermain and remaining lead water services
  • Storm sewer upgrades and replacements
  • Pedestrian improvements, including ADA-compliant curb ramps and improved crossings.

Tuesday, April 7, 2026
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Rock Hill Community Church – Lincoln Park
2401 W 5th Street, Duluth, MN
(Corner of 24th Avenue W and Fifth Street)

City staff will begin the meeting with a brief overview of the project. Attendees will then have an opportunity to ask questions and share feedback. Staff will also be on hand throughout the open house to participate in discussion at any time during the event.
