Male Arrested on Pending 1st Degree Robbery Charges

At approximately 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, Officers responded to a report of a male who shoplifted at a local business in the 1300 block of Superior Street, brandished a knife at employees, and fled the scene on a bicycle.  A short time later, officers located the male in the 300 block of East 1st Street. Officers arrested 22-year-old Brady Barney, who was uncooperative towards officers. A knife and fentanyl were located on his persons. He was arrested and lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of 1st Degree Robbery, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Fleeing on Foot, and Felony 5th Degree Possession of Controlled Substances.
