Female Arrested for Multiple Pending Charges
At approximately 6 p.m., Monday, February 9, Officers responded to a report of a physical domestic in the 3100 block of Vernon Street. Initial information shows a male and a female, later identified as 37-year-old Winona Ness, were in a verbal and physical argument prior to officers’ arrivals. The male was able to escape the residence while Ness barricaded herself inside the home. Multiple de-escalation attempts were made, and eventually officers made entry into the home. K9 Fitz was deployed and Ness was apprehended. Ness was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation and was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of 2nd Degree Assault, Domestic Assault, and Obstruction. Excellent work to A Crew and K9 Fitz for arresting Ness!
