Male Arrested for Burglarizing Bentleyville

On Friday, December 26, Duluth Police took a burglary report at Bentleyville. Initial information shows a male broke into the gift shop and stole items valued over $2,000. The cost of damage to the shop was extensive, costing hundreds of dollars. The investigation led to the arrest of 47-year-old John Carter on Friday, January 9 for pending charges of 3rd Degree Burglary.

The act of burglarizing a free event that brings thousands of people to our city is disappointing. We appreciate the full cooperation from Bentleyville and the thorough investigation conducted into this incident.
