City of Duluth contractor to burn buckthorn piles at Hartley Park
[DULUTH, MN] A contractor will burn four large piles of buckthorn at Hartley Park during the week of October 27, 2025, weather permitting.
No closures of the park are expected. The work should take one to two days to complete. Park users should avoid actively burning material and give the contractors space to do their work if they encounter the buckthorn piles while being burned. Smoke may be present during the burn period.
