City of Duluth to perform forestry work near Park Point Beach House in early August
[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth’s Parks Maintenance Division staff will perform forestry work in locations near the Park Point Beach House in the first week of August. Staff will cut down approximately one acre of brush in the area, and a skid steer and mulcher will be present and operational during the week.
The purpose of the work is to clear space for white pinecone germination. White pine is a native tree species and are preferable to the existing brush and non-native species in the area.
This forestry work will occur during the weekdays and will be noisy at times. The City of Duluth thanks beach users and residents in the area for their patience during the work period.
