Temporary closures of portions of the Lakewalk underway
[DULUTH, MN] Beginning August 12, sections of the Lakewalk trail between Gitchi Ode-Aking and the Rose Garden will be closed to facilitate soil borings and rock coring work. Closures are expected to be in effect only on weekdays between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The temporary closures will span a total of approximately two weeks, in four phases, with each phase lasting up to four days in order to provide shorter detours and minimal impact to trail usage. Detour will follow the maps included, and signs will be posted.
The City of Duluth thanks residents and visitors for their patience while this important work is completed.
