Duluth Fire Department responds to structure fire Tuesday afternoon on Hagberg Street

 

[DULUTH, MN] At 2:09 pm today, the Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire reported at 3035 Hagberg Street.

Crews from Miller Hill, Lincoln Park, Spirit Valley, UMD, Woodland, and Downtown Headquarters responded. Upon arrival, firefighters found the front of the four bedroom residential structure fully involved in fire. Most occupants evacuated safely, but one person was still inside the structure and was later rescued. The rescued individual was treated and transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment and monitoring.

Damage to the structure and its contents is estimated at $400k. The incident is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.

Duluth Fire Department thanks its partners at the Duluth Police Department and Saint Louis County 911 for their assistance in the incident.
