Duluth Fire Department responds to structure fire Sunday evening at 4329 Decker Road
[DULUTH, MN] Sunday evening at 9:16 pm, the Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire reported at 4329 Decker Road.
7 Engine was first on scene at 9:19 pm to find a small, single car garage fully involved in fire with flames impinging on the side of the adjacent home. During the initial attack, the structure’s power supply line broke, causing crews to shift their attack. Minnesota Power responded to the incident to de-energize the power line. Crews from Duluth Heights, Headquarters, Lincoln Park, and Spirit Valley responded to the incident.
No injuries were reported by residents or crews on scene. Two residents were displaced by the fire, and American Red Cross is assisting with the displacement.
Damage to the garage and home is estimated at $65k. The incident is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
