Partial closure at Cascade Park due to retaining wall collapse
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth has closed the gazebo and upper portions of Cascade Park until further notice. The retaining wall to the east of the gazebo has collapsed, and the area will be fenced off. Assessment of the wall and gazebo is necessary to determine the structural integrity of the infrastructure and appropriate next steps. The City thanks the public for avoiding this area to maintain public safety while staff work to identify a solution.
The Story and Play program scheduled for Monday, July 10 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Cascade Park has been relocated and will take place at Central Hillside Park located at 12 E 4th St.
