Duluth Police Department Updates E-Reporting System
Having the capacity to be first responders during emergency calls for service is a priority for the Duluth Police Department. On June 22, DPD announced altered responses to calls for service, which has allowed our officers to spend more time on priority calls and on proactively engaging with citizens who are critical to community safety. We continue to evaluate and examine best practices to be more efficient and effective in responding to emergency calls for service.
Today, we are announcing the use of our updated E-Reporting system for those in our community. E-Reporting crimes that have no active leads will allow our officers to focus on priority calls. This online system allows members in our community to select from a variety of incidents such as Damage to Motor Vehicle, Scams, Lost Property, Theft, and more. The online platform will continue to ask you questions regarding the crime, and a Community Service Officer will be able to conduct follow-up regarding the incident.
Ongoing changes to the Duluth Police Department’s policy, procedures, and response will be shared with the public as they occur.
