The St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail officially gained designation in 2020 by the US Secretary of the Interior and is now included in the National Parks Trail System. This incredible accomplishment celebrates the revitalization of the St. Louis River, the largest tributary to Lake Superior and once one of the most polluted waterways in the nation. The Water Trail boasts 11 looped routes for paddlers and boaters of all skill levels and abilities with access points in both Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin.
