SUBJECT: Structure Fire

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Structure Fire
CASE NO.: 008843
INCIDENT DATE: 8/2/2022
INCIDENT TIME: 3:49 P.M.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 111 Park Ave

At 3:49 P.M. yesterday the Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to 111 Park Ave for a structure fire.  Police and fire crews were on scene within two minutes and reported a two story structure completely involved on all levels.  This was a condemned structure that was ruled a total loss after a June 18, 2022 fire .  Firefighters quickly established water supplies from hydrants and fought the fire from the exterior in a defensive manor with a 2.5 inch handline and an aerial master stream from 1 Tower.

The fire consumed much of the remaining structure but since it was ruled a total loss in June there is no additional loss value.  Firefighters were on scene for about three hours and were assisted on scene by the Duluth Police Department and Duluth Public Works. Firefighters from Headquarters, Lincoln Park and Spirit Valley stations responded. There were no injuries to firefighters.  The fire is suspicious and being investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal's Office.
