Invasive Species Removal Volunteer Opportunity - Central Park, Wednesday June 08, 4:30 pm

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth, in partnership with the Duluth Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) is hosting a volunteer work session along the Craft Connector Trail, located in Central Park, on Wednesday June 08, 4:30 pm; event will occur rain or shine, but will be cancelled if lightning is present. This effort will focus on removal of mature Garlic Mustard by hand-pulling individual plants. Though Garlic Mustard is not irritating to exposed skin, volunteers should plan to bring sturdy footwear, and gloves will be provided if desired.

Volunteers should plan to meet where the trail crosses on West 1st Street at approximately what would be 1400 W 1st Street (GPS Coordinates: 46.774234, -92.117782), and park along the north side of the street.

For more details, please contact Duluth CISMA’s Member Community Coordinator, Lori Seele, at lori@stewardshipnetwork.org
