Portion of Cross City Trail previously closed for maintenance reopens
[Duluth, MN] A portion of the Cross City Trail closed in early November due to a wastewater pipe replacement has reopened for use. The part of the trail between South Central Avenue and Recycle Way was closed for work done by the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD). The portion of the work that could be completed before the winter is now complete. Contractors have laid gravel on the 100’ section of the trail to protect what work was done until work will resume in the spring. The trail will be restored to its original condition with new asphalt once that work is complete.
