Early this morning, the Duluth Fire Department responded for the report of a house fire at the listed location. DFD arrived to find a member of the Duluth Police Department on the front porch attending to a small fire. DPD reported that all persons and pets were out of the house and accounted for.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but crews remained on scene to chase down hot spots and smoldering areas within the walls and layers of siding.

The cause of the fire is determined to be discarded smoking materials. Damage to the home is estimated to be in excess of $7000. 

There were no injuries to report and the home was released to the occupants. 

Fire companies from Downtown, Lincoln Park and Spirit Valley along with Officers from the Duluth Police Department worked on scene to put the fire out and assist to the needs of the occupants.
