Person involved in Easter Sunday fire identified
[Duluth, MN] Matthew William Hurt, age 49 has been identified as the individual who died in the April 4 structure fire. Mr. Hurt has been identified as living in Duluth at the time of the fire and has been known to have been living in Duluth since at least 2012.
The identity had been previously withheld until the next of kin had been notified.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office. The final cause will be provided once the autopsy report has been filed. The report is expected to be complete in the next week.
